  This is a very unique, small (both in overall size and the size of the rooms - but they are upfront about that), family-run hotel convenient to Dalston / Hackney area. Despite the size of the rooms, they are incredibly thoughtfully laid out and have every convenience you could imagine. Clean, efficient, great water pressure, lovely quality of toiletries (towels, robes, shampoos, soaps, etc.). The management is extremely helpful and responsive and will resolve any issues immediately. If you have a need to be in the area or are just looking to avoid the cost and stress of a Central London stay, this is the place to be. You can be in Whitechapel / Shoreditch in 15 minutes.

  The room was clean nicely furnished. Although it was small this was not a problem for us as it was only for a 1 night stay but if it was for any longer than that we would struggle as there is very limited space to hang up clothes etc. Bathroom was nice and clean and the shower was excellent.
  
  The location is good and only a short walk from the plenty of nice places to eat and drink.
  
  We weren't aware that the hotel was above an indian takeaway but to be honest this was not a problem either and we couldn't smell anything from the kitchen in our room.
  
  The price seemed fair as I think the Premier Inn down the road was similar in price.
