  I took my girlfriend here as a surprise treat yesterday. The atmosphere was incredible from the word go... a tad on the quiet side... but all in all beautiful. The food was extremely decadent on the vegan menu and provided a varied choice. We were 2 cakes spare at the end as we were unable to finish it.
  
  The core of the experience are the staff. They treat you with utmost kindness and a top class service.
  
  The only downfall however is the pomposity and down-right rudeness of the general hotel guests towards the staff. The staff clearly work really hard to uphold a standard and level of service and it's such a shame this is taken for granted.
  
  Would I recommend it ... absolutely!! However be prepared to tell 'arrogance' to shut his lips if you come across him.

  Traditional but not musty - think Italian linen not Irish lace. Extraordinary personal service in an intimate setting. And a special afternoon Tea service for dogs!
