  Quite disappointed in this restaurant. Went for birthday treat and thought as Gordon Ramsay restaurant would be special. I felt the place needed updating and painting, the toilet was dirty with no soap which I had to ask for. The food was just ok but not special and small portions. I must say the Apple crumble was very good. Overall I brought family here for a treat and we were very disappointed. Service was good.

  This is very local to me and I have to say it is hit and miss. I haven't been for a long while but last night was particularly bad.
  There was a private party in the side room and because of this they were not serving food to the rest of the restaurant bar or terrace. Literally nothing available not even olives! How does food service stop completely because you have about 40 people booked in for a private function?
  The bar staff were surly and while it wasn't busy we had to wait ages to get served at the bar because one of the bartenders was busy speaking to friends. Then the payment machine didn't work! There is no table service so be prepared to wait.
  Great location and the terrace area is nice (but very worn with dirty tables now). Not as nice as it once was.
  You really have to step up your game! I don't know that I will be back...

  Great place by the river which is child, dog AND wheelchair friendly! Staff were so accommodating and helpful. The roast was good too with the huge Yorkshire puddings and a choice of pork, chicken or sirloin to choose from (obviously I had a bit of everything), complete with lots of trimmings. Definite food coma after that, but still had room for their gorgeous sticky toffee pudding.
  
  Wheelchair access: There is a car park, and you have to go around the back to get in and although the place is called The Narrow, the entrance door seemed REALLY narrow. I just about fit in, in my wheelchair. There is a small step too. They also have an accessible toilet, which is quite small too, but manageable for me. It might be a bit more difficult for someone in a wider or power chair so maybe call to check dimensions beforehand.

  High end pub food, quality is great, location is amazing. A little pricier than the area's average but generally worth paying the extra. Sit out in theyou terrace for the best experience
